​EMT COURSES
Our EMT Course is currently being developed and will exceed DOT and MA, ME and NH EMS Office standards averaging 150 + hours of didactic and practical experiences.
Students who successfully complete the course are qualified to take the Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician (Basic) Certification Examination. EMT certification is required by most fire departments in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and many in Maine.
This course covers:

Airway management and oxygen therapy

Wound care and fracture management
-
Injuries to the head, neck, and spine
-
Shock
-
Pharmacology and aerosolized medications
-
Cardiac arrest management (including use of defibrillators)

Medical emergencies
-
Emergency childbirth
-
Auto extrication
The course cost is $TBD and includes the etext and online platforms.
A paper text can also be purchased.
Additional costs:

NREMT written exam/license fee $70 (due when you create your NREMT account at course end)

Site practical testing fee of $100 (due on last night of class)
-
State license fee of $varies (due when you pass your exams and submit application to MA OEMS or ME)
